Venice Architecture Biennale 2025 — GENS Public Programme (Future Protein)

9.10.25, 21:00

I’m happy to share that on October 9th, 2025, I presented Future Protein as part of the GENS Public Programme at the Venice Architecture Biennale (Arsenale, 11:00–12:30).

The workshop “Future Protein: Speculative Food System” looks at how mussels and their ecological benefits can reshape food systems under climate pressure. The project frames aquaculture as a real alternative to land-heavy agriculture, and combines remote sensing, interactive design, recipes, and shell-based biomaterials to propose new “adaptive rituals” for rising sea levels—where ecology, culture, and technology meet.

I shared the session together with Katya Bryskina. For me, the most exciting part is that this isn’t only a concept: it’s a design methodology that can connect research, material experimentation, and public conversation—exactly the kind of work I want architecture to be doing right now.
